After you arrive at the airport in Malaga, your holiday can begin! The half-hour drive to the Cortijo Juan Salvador is full of promise; a meandering mountain road leads past small villages, while the wind whispers through the branches of the eucalyptus trees to both sides. Then Cortijo Juan Salvador appears in the distance; a white oasis hidden in the lush green hills of the Montes de Malaga nature reserve. What a magnificent location!

After a warm welcome by the family van Daalen  you are free to do as you please and enjoy this marvelous place from the privacy of your own apartment. Cortijo Juan Salvador consists of three apartments; La Higuera El Olivo and El Almendro, ideal to share with friends or family or for special (business) gatherings & retreats. The patio of El Almendor and private terrace of La Higuera connect. Via the stairs of La Higuera you walk down to El Olivo.

• La Higuera was newly built on the foundations of the original Cortijo. It’s impressive, huge wooden doors, its high ceiling with wooden beams and the terracotta floors lend an authentic atmosphere to the apartment. Jeroen and Sandra pay lots of attention to details in all apartments, also you will find fresh flowers in both apartments.
• The fully equipped open kitchen with the rustic wooden counter gives a spacious and fantastic place to cook anything you like. Next to the kitchen is a large dining table and an added seating area was created in the living room corner beside the pellet heater. 
• The master bedroom lies adjacent to the dining kitchen and has a large, comfortable double bed which can also be separated in case of groups or individuals.
• There is a smaller living area, where you can watch television. If the kids want to watch TV, you can choose to quietly read a book in the dining kitchen.
• The small living area gives access to a second bedroom, which also have a a big bed of 2m10x2m which can also be separated. The third bedroom is located right next to the entrance; this is an intimate room with a double smaller sized bed 1m60x1m fixed.
• The three bedrooms share two bathrooms, which are both fitted with a bathtub shower toilet & bidet.
• From the dining kitchen, you have access to the beautiful, spacious, and sunny terrace, which is partly covered. A dining table invites you to have a cozy dinner accompanied by a fantastic view over the mountains and the ocean in the distance. From this place you can see Malaga center and beautifull clouds and stars depending on the weather.
• In front of the entrance of the apartment, there is a second, private terrace area with a BBQ and an outdoor shower. Here you can enjoy an early cup of coffee in the sun.
• If you have young children, Sandra & Jeroen can arrange some toys to be placed inside your apartment and even provide a blow-up pool for outside water fun.
• Infinity pool and poolhouse access including an honesty bar, games, airhockey table .
• El Almendro is included as house if you rent the Cortijo. If you book up to 14 people also El Olivo is included. Up to 12 the rentals exist of El Almendro & La Higuera
• Both El Almendro & La Higuera have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms totalling 6  2 person bedrooms (12 total) and 2 bathrooms. A big terras (Higuera) and large patrio (Almendro) makes it perfect suitable for larger groups and families, hosting small events like weddings, family gatherings, anniversary celebrations, friendship celebrations, business events, retreats etc
• The hosts Jeroen & Sandra offer personalised options from food to (business) events. Please contact us to discuss your wishes and help you personally.

The country estate of Cortijo Juan Salvador consists of several, well-maintained terraces, which have been constructed on different levels. The many flowers and fruit trees on the terrain thrive and flourish abundantly, and the view over the mountains of Malaga paints a beautiful, serene picture. Under the old fir tree, you will find tables and chairs, from which you can take in the amazing views.

In another corner of the garden, you will find a hammock, inviting you to lay back and relax or take a mid-day nap. The vegetable- and herb garden delivers lovely fresh, organic ingredients, which you may use for preparing your own meals or just ask Sandra to prepare one of her favourite dishes for you.

One level below, there is a terrace with a small swimming pool; a lovely place to savor the warm Spanish rays of the sun relaxing in one of the loungers alongside it. This area can be closed off (parental discretion advised) and therefore is safe for small children.

Jeroen & Sandra just started the B&B since july 2025 but have many plans for Cortijo Juan Salvador, the base is a perfect one to build on in the coming future. A stay at one of the appartments is already a feast. Cortijo Juan Salvador is more than just a holiday rental; it is an experience that you can compile according to your own personal wishes. A nice breakfast & dinner accompanied with some very good local wines, a relaxing massage, a beautifull hikeroute or a sightseeing tour with Jeroen, giving him the chance to show you all his favorite spots in the area. For business owners, managementteams or directors Jeroen can discuss a taylor made program based on the objectives formulated.
